GUEST LECTURE of Professor Beatrice Bonafé - 12.1.2026

On Monday, 12 January 2026, we had the pleasure of welcoming Professor Beatrice Bonafé (Paris–Panthéon-Assas University) as a guest lecturer in the context of the 2025–26 Fundamentals of Public International Law course of the LL.M. in International and European Law at the School of Law, NKUA.

Professor Bonafé delivered a lecture on “The Dynamics of Sources in International Law”, offering insightful reflections on the evolving relationship between treaty law and customary international law. Our LL.M. students had the opportunity to engage in a rich discussion on how these sources interact in practice—whether through conflict, coordination, or mutually reinforcing dynamics—highlighting the complexity and adaptability of contemporary international law.
