THE EU AREA OF FREEDOM, SECURITY AND JUSTICE - GUEST LECTURE BY DR TATIANA PAPADOPOULOU, 18.04.2024, 15.00-17.00

It is announced that Dr Tatiana Papadopoulou will give a guest lecture for the course «The EU Area of Freedom, Security and Justice» in the context of the 2023/24 LLM in International & European Law, on the subject:

«The New Pact on Asylum and Migration of the European Union»

Dr Tatiana Papadopoulou is a Legal Counselor at the Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Legal Service, EU Law Dept.). She is an Expert on EU law institutional matters and EU policy on various areas, mainly the area of Free Movement of Persons, the European citizenship, the Area of Freedom, Security and Justice (Title V TFEU), EU bilateral and strategic cooperation with third countries, environmental policy etc. She is an Agent of the Hellenic Republic to the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg and an officially appointed representative in working groups of the EU Council and of the European Commission (negotiating and drafting EU legislation). She has also served as: Chief Legal Officer at the Greek Permanent Representation in the EU (Brussels) (2017-2020) and Chair of the "Friends of Presidency Group" for the application of art.10 of the Protocol no.36 to the EU Treaties (PROAPP), including UK's right to opt-out/-in to the Ex-3rd Pillar acquis (2014). Finally, Dr T. Papadopoulou is the author of books and articles on Private International Law and EU law and policy.
