Prof. Emer. Vassilios Christianos will give a guest lecture for the course «EU Law Seminar» in the context of the 2023/24 LLM in International & European Law, on the subject:

«The third stage of preliminary procedure»

Dr. Vassilios Christianos is an Emeritus Professor of EU law in the Athens Law School. He is a Member of the Board of Trustees of the Europäische Rechtsakademie (Trier-Germany), and also held the positions of Director of the Centre of International and European Economic Law (CIEEL) between 2011 and 2018, of Vice-president of the Industrial Property Organization (2011-2013), of member of the Hellenic Competition Authority (2005-2007), of member of the Steering Committee of the International Federation for European Law FIDE (Greece) (2001-2005), and of Rapporteur at the Court of Justice of the EU (1987-2001).

Among many universities Dr. Vassilios Christianos has taught EU Law as an Assistant Professor in the European Institute of Public Administration (Maastricht), as a Visiting Professor in the University of Nice (France), as a Visiting Professor in Paris II, and as a Visiting Professor in University of Luxembourg.

Dr Christianos has published many books and articles; Ηe has participated in research projects and he is an experienced lawyer (member of both the Athens and Luxembourg bar) with presence before the Court of Justice of the EU.
