THE TEAM OF THE SCHOOL OF LAW NKUA NAMED NATIONAL CHAMPIONS AT THE 2026 NATIONAL ROUNDS OF THE PHILIP C. JESSUP INTERNATIONAL LAW MOOT COURT COMPETITION

The team of the School of Law NKUA named National Champions at the 2026 National rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition

The Athens Public International Law Center proudly congratulates its team on being named National Champions at the 2026 National rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition — the world’s largest and most prestigious competition in international law.

Following a demanding and highly competitive round against the Faculty of Law of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, our undergraduate students secured the victory, earning the title of National Champions and qualifying to the international rounds of the competition to be held this March in Washington, D.C.

This exceptional achievement reflects the team’s dedication, discipline, and commitment throughout an intensive period of preparation. Their performance stands as a testament to the academic excellence, advocacy skills, and collaborative spirit that define our academic community.

We extend our warmest congratulations to our undergraduate students Victoria Arvanitaki, Thrasyvoulos- Christos (Akis) Kosmidis, Afroditi Charitonidou, Georgios Papaioannou, and Filaretos Loukoutos for their outstanding performance.

We also express our sincere appreciation to the academic supervisor, Professor Maria Gavouneli and to the team’s coaches — Assistant Professor Efthymios Papastavridis, postgraduate student of the 2025-26 LL.M in International and European Law Efpraxia Anagnostopoulou, Maira Anthi, and Stella Manolitsi — whose mentorship, guidance, and unwavering support were instrumental to this success.
