The Rome-based Centro Studi di Politica Internazionale CeSPI, in cooperation with the University of Trento and OCEAN will hold a summer school in Rome from 14-17 September 2026 on the topic “Human Rights in Times of War”.
The school is open to postgraduate students, including Master’s and PhD students, post-doctoral researchers, early career scholars, and practitioners such as lawyers, judges and civil servants interested in the law of the Council of Europe, human rights, the rule of law and democracy.
Its goal is to gather a community of international students interested in exploring topics related to human rights and their international protection in preparation for their theses, dissertations, research projects or professional career.
The school will provide them with lectures in the mornings and seminar discussions of ongoing projects in the afternoons, led by a group of internationally renowned professors and experts.
Each morning will feature two/three lectures, while the afternoons will be dedicated to the presentation and the discussion of papers by the participants.
Classes and presentations will be conducted in English.
