SUMMER COURSE ON SPACE LAW AND POLICY OF THE ECSL - VISIT TO HELLAS SAT

In the context of the Summer Course on Space Law and Policy of the European Centre of Space Law (ECSL), held at the Athens School of Law, a visit to the premises of Hellas Sat in Koropi took place today. Hellas Sat is a company active in the field of satellite systems and communications and was established in 2001. The company manages the exclusive rights to use the orbital position of Greece and Cyprus.

The students were given a tour of the company's premises and visited the SOC (Satellite Operations Centre), the NOC (Network Operations Centre) and the Teleport and Data Centre, which are the three critical infrastructures of Hellas Sat. This was followed by a short address by the company's President, Mr. Christodoulos Protopapas, who was eager to answer the students' questions, followed by a light lunch.

The students were impressed with both the facilities and the work of Hellas Sat, as well as the unique hospitality of the people during the visit.

Hellas Sat has always been supportive of the students of the Law School, not only being a major sponsor of the Summer Course, this year, but also repeatedly sponsoring the student teams participating in the Manfred Lachs Moot Court Competition on Space Law.
