NEW INTERNATIONAL DISTINCTION - HELGA PEDERSEN MOOT COURT COMPETITION 2022-2023
Following upon the distinguished tradition of the Athens Law School, we are happy and proud to announce that Maria Emmanouil and Eirini-Theoni Bougonikolou, our team of undergraduate students, advanced to the Grand Final of the ELSA Helga Pedersen Moot Court Competition 2022-2023 and ranked 2nd out of 58 teams from law schools from all Member States of the Council of Europe. Maria Emmanouil also won the Best Orator award for the semi-final rounds of the competition.
The team was coached by Myrto Stavridi, Athens lawyer and former winner of the com-petition, with the assistance of Fay Mantzouni, undergraduate student and former participant of the competition, under the academic supervision of Professor Maria Gavouneli.
The competition was held at the facilities and with the cooperation of the Council of Europe and the European Court of Human Rights from 22 until 26 May 2023.
